Shaggy And Friends Artist Lineup Announced

Sting, Wyclef Jean, Fetty Wap, Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons, Christopher Martin, Aidonia, Dexta Daps, Junior Reid, Shenseea, Barrington Levy, Third World, Chaka Demus and Pliers, Capleton, Professor Nuts and Wayne Wonder have been confirmed to perform alongside international reggae star Shaggy at his biennial (every other year) Shaggy And Friends concert, which will be held at Jamaica House.

In July, Shaggy donated over three hundred pieces of medical equipment to the Bustamante Hospital for Children in Kingston. Proceeds from this event will also benefit the BHC. Shaggy And Friends will be held on January 6, 2018. Tickets can be purchased here.

Stars Aligned For JAMATHON Benefit Concert

On Wednesday, reggae, dancehall and soca artists united to raise funds for hard-hit areas of the caribbean caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The five hour JAMATHON event was held at the National Indoor Sports Complex in New Kingston, which featured performances by reggae legends (including Freddie McGregor and Beres Hammond), reggae revivalists (including Protoje and Jessie Royal), dancehall deejays (including Tommy Lee Sparta and Bounty Killer) and soca stars Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons.

Caribbean Love Now was created as an integrated relief campaign to help with donation of resources and funds. Relief, Recovery, Rebuilding, and Restoration are the long-term goals of this initiative and efforts will continue into the future. If you’d like to donate click here.

Sevana Siren To Hold Benefit Show In Kingston

Bring a shirt, see a show! A Shirt For A Show is a benefit concert made possible by Sevana Siren with guest appearances from her music family Protoje, Runkus, Lila Iké and Ziah. Sevana will also premiere her new single at the event — hosted by Terri-Karelle on Saturday, November 11th.

Clean, gently worn clothes will be collected and distributed to homes throughout Kingston, Jamaica. Calabash bags and artist merchandise will also be available for purchase. The show is scheduled to begin at 6:30pm sharp at The Haven.
