On Wednesday, reggae, dancehall and soca artists united to raise funds for hard-hit areas of the caribbean caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. The five hour JAMATHON event was held at the National Indoor Sports Complex in New Kingston, which featured performances by reggae legends (including Freddie McGregor and Beres Hammond), reggae revivalists (including Protoje and Jessie Royal), dancehall deejays (including Tommy Lee Sparta and Bounty Killer) and soca stars Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons.
Caribbean Love Now was created as an integrated relief campaign to help with donation of resources and funds. Relief, Recovery, Rebuilding, and Restoration are the long-term goals of this initiative and efforts will continue into the future. If you’d like to donate click here.
